Traditional Chinese Medicine Training

This year I have also been training in Traditional Chinese Medicine with the lovely Dedj Leibbrandt at Northdown Orchard Farm. This has been over 7 weekends which started in January with the last one in a couple of weeks in December. This has been such a great thing to do as not only do I learn TCM but get to see the seasons change on a working organic farm.

Traditional Chinese Medicine is a complete traditional from of medicine that is still practised not only in China but throughout the world. It has added a new dimension to my herbal medicine practice which I am finding really helpful with my patients. Through learning how to diagnose via the tongue and pulse it has enabled me to be much more accurate in my prescribing and is leading to some good results with patients.

EMDR Accredited Status

I am pleased to announce that I have been granted EMDR accredited status by the EMDR Association of UK & Ireland. This has been a while in completing as I did the training in 2011. However  it really feels like a great achievement. EMDR is an amazing therapy that is very powerful for working with psychological issues which have their roots in the past. Which lets face it is almost anything! Practising it has change the way I work hugely for the better and I am sure will continue to do so as I develop further with it.
